The sanity increase doesn't stack if there is more than 1 live fish in the player's inventory. ![]() Fish held by Wurt will stay alive longer, suffocating at a rate of 0.25, allowing ocean fish to live for up to 4 days, freshwater fish up to 12 days. Keeping a living Fish, Eel, Ocean Fishes or Star-Sky in her inventory gives her 3.3 Sanity per minute. The Seawreath, Garland and Milkmade Hat have their sanity effects flipped when worn by Wurt. Furthermore, any Vegetables/ Fruits/ Butterfly Wings will give her 33% extra Hunger, with Durians giving 93% extra instead. Frogs are also neutral with Wurt as well as other Merms.ĭurians and Kelp Fronds (raw, cooked or dried) won't make her lose Health or Sanity when eaten. However she will still lose temperature when wet.īunnymen and other creatures that attack Webber & Wortox are instead neutral with her. Wurt is immune to most effects of wetness she won't lose sanity when being wet or equipping wet items and has a strong grip and so will not drop slippery items (she also won't lose held items due to Moose/Goose honk or Bearger attack). She keeps her full inventory and none of her stats are affected. She can also see where Tentacles are hiding.ĭrowning in the Ocean will only give Wurt 50% Wetness. Wurt can craft Marsh Turf, which increases her movement speed when walked upon by 30% (though this boost does not stack with that of roads). So as to not leave out any other players who are not Merms, she can craft a Clever Disguise for them to wear. She can befriend Merms by feeding them, and they can help her fight, chop trees, and mine boulders. She can also craft Craftsmerm Houses, which house Merms, and Merm Flort-ifications, which house Loyal Merm Guards. By trading the King Fishes, the player can receive Kelp Fronds, Seeds, specific Crop Seeds, Cut Reeds, Tentacle Spots, certain Trinkets, and additionally Gold Nuggets if trading an Ocean Fish. Merms and Wurt players can tell the King is active by a change in physical appearance. Wurt is able to craft the Royal Tapestry, facilitating the creation of the King of the Merms whose existence buffs the stats of all Merms, Loyal Merm Guards, and Wurt herself. She helps herself to a piece of candy and continues to enjoy the book. After defeating the Merms and Spiders, a Tentacle takes them all out and one of their Candy Bags lands near Wurt. She takes immediate interest in the story and sits at the base of a Spiky Tree as the survivors and Merms battle. Wurt follows them until she steps on Wickerbottom's book (which looks like the popular fairy tale Hansel and Gretel). They are attacked by a mob of Merms, who trample through their camp as they give chase. On a Hallowed Nights night, Wickerbottom reads a scary story to Webber and Wendy as they sit around a Fire Pit in the swamp. In the animated short The Monster Marsh, an instance of her meeting the survivors is showcased. Though she enjoys living in the swamp and being around other Merms, being the smallest and the youngest often makes her feel quite isolated, and she is enjoying the novelty of having some friends closer to her own age amongst the Survivors. She is particularly fascinated by books with pretty pictures inside and an amazing thing the humans call "candy". A bit more open-minded than other Merms, she has taken to following the Survivors around and learning more about them. the evidence is a bit shaky on that front). Wurt is a little Merm girl who wants to bring her people back to their former glory (if they did indeed ever have a former glory. Wurt's biography in the Compendium gives a bit of her backstory: –Official description for The Monster Marshĭon't Starve Together The Monster Marsh Wurt Animated Short Gather close children, for these are the Hallowed Nights when ghouls and monsters come out to play… and something has started watching our Survivors from the fog. Trees stand tall and bare, their skeletal branches silhouetted against a broken moon.
